Program Description:
The 2019 ICD-10 changes go into effect October 1, 2018. (Codes are valid from October 1 through September 30 the following year).
We'll go over the new, deleted, and revised ICD-10 codes (there are 107 change as they pertain to Dermatology). We'll also cover the Official Guideline and policy changes that go into effect October 1, 2018.
We'll demonstrate how to look at CMS's Local Coverage Determination (LCD) policies for guidance on when certain ICD-10 codes are covered (and when they are) not for many procedure codes.
For the remainder of the webinar, we'll discuss the common problems and frequently asked questions we received on billing ICD-10 codes and how they can lead to unnecessary claim denials.
